Quick Q - I'm in the Express Entry pool however before the end of the year I have my birthday, so when my year is up in the pool in January 2019 I'll have to re-apply for EEntry minus 5 points for turning another year older. So, I'm wondering, is it ok to delete my current application and re-apply before my birthday? Then I should be able to stay in the pool for another year at my current age/CRS score.

I'm not trying to fool the system at all, it's just a question of re-applying a couple of weeks before my 1year in the pool expires, and not losing 5 more points due to turning another year older only 2 weeks before that date.
Right right. Any reason you don’t want to re-create? Worried about losing to tie breaker?if you ask me, I’d create slightly earlier so that your age doesn’t get updated automatically to n+1 when you recreate.
As far as I understand, the loss of points is automatic, so points-wise it won't make a difference whether you re-create your profile now or later. Your points for age are only "locked in" once you receive an ITA.
Thanks both, I thought it was a case of them sticking with your age at time of EEntry submission/acceptance, but sounds more likely that it automatically updates ages so not much point in me stressing about something i can't change. Might as well enjoy my bday
