Express Entry profile and Study permit

Is an active Express Entry profile a problem for one applying for a study permit?
My impression is that the profile is not visible to the visa officer making the study permit decision.
Anyone here with experience in this situation?

Hello,

You application will be processed independently according to the requirements of both route. Its left to the VO to apply discretion.
