Express Entry Processing // Outside Canada Vacation

Hi all,

I have applied for EE in CEC category. EOR is 9th August 2018 and current status is " Medical Passed, Background check not started yet".

I am planning to go to India (my home country) for this Christmas vacation (around 25th dec till 20 jan)

What will happen if I get a passport request during the time for which I am on Vacation ? Do I need to immediately return to Canada and submit my passport ?

If yes, would it be good strategy to just book 1 way flight ?

You can either request to postpone the submission or ask to send the passport to the visa office in India for stamping.
