Can someone please let me know if I can claim 50 points for my job offer letter if I have one year of experience in that company and if I do not have LMIA from my employer.
Provided my job offer is a full time and it is for indefinite period.
Please help.
Thanks.

It depends. What kind of work permit do you hold? Do you have an open work permit? Or an ICT?
Hi All
With respect to the same question , i have open work permit and been working in canada for 2 years in NOC B, in order to claim 50 point i need LMIA right ?? If yes so do i need to change my open work permit after getting LMIA ? The reason for that because they ask me when creating EE profile, is XX job offer from the employer named on your current work permit ?? Even if i have LMIA i believe i should change the status of the work permit because if i answer no to that question i will get zero point even if i have LMIA.
Second thing i have open work permit based on my wife full time student ( is that will reflect my case by exempt from LMIA ). Its kinda of confusion question and hope if someone have same situation to answer these questions
Thanks in advance

Yes, you require an approved LMIA to claim job offer points.
No, you don't need to change your open work permit after getting the LMIA.

Thanks for the info, but what about the other questions ?
Whats the answer gonna be for ( is job offer for emploer named on current work permit ??)
If answer yes then will get 50 points, if no then can't get 50 point even if you have LMIA ???
