Hi , i am on Crs 450 ,my workpermit is expiring soon ,what are my options to stay in canada.
How can i stay as a visitor?if i get an ITA after workpermiit is expired can i extend my workpermit.??please help guys i am in serious trouble.

No, you can't extend a work permit on the basis of an ITA. You will need to change/extend your status to visitor immediately before your work permit expires if you want to avoid all the restoration of status hassle.

You can apply to change your status to visitor if you want to remain in Canada. However you will have to stop working.

You must be holding a valid work permit at the time you apply for a BOWP to qualify.

So if you get ITA after your work permit expires, you will not qualify for a BOWP. You'll need to wait until you have PR before you can start working again.

If you want to continue working, you'll need to find an employer willing to give you a job offer and who has or can obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit.
