My mom's visitor Visa is getting expired in May.. just renewed her passport.. is it ok to apply for super visa now ( her visitor Visa still valid until May).. please advise

If she comes here using the existing visa.. cwn I apply fr new visitor visa within Canada .. ??

Why not just send an application to extending her stay in Canada?
