Hello! So my study permit expired while I was outside the country, it expired July 31, two weeks ago, I had thought I would apply for a Post graduate work permit (because I finished school) but unfortunately this does not seem to be the option. I was wondering what is the way forward, because I really want to go back into the country
As per my knowledge,You have 90 days to apply for a PGWP. why you are saying it's not an option?
You can apply online, give a Canadian address and permit will arrive at that address. Then have someone send it to you in your home country. If you don't have a valid TRV, you would need to reapply for it and it's easy to get. Hence, you can travel, and afterwords work in Canada.

The study permit must still be valid at time of application in order to apply for a PGWP whereas the OP said their permit has already expired. There was a slim chance the OP could have applied to restore their status but now they have left the country that is possibly not an option.
