expired status

Hi guys

I'd appreciate any info on this.
An application to renew my work permit was declined on March 11th, meaning my temp status expired on March 11th.
I placed an application for restoration of status to visitor status about a week later and then an application for PR another week later.

When applying under CEC, it states "not remained in Canada after the time authorized to do so has expired".
Technically, I have 90 days after the expiry of my status to apply to restore it so I believe my authorized stay has not expired, at least until I get a response from CIC. I am not 100% on that.
Does anyone know if this will affect my application? Any experiences?

Your authorized stay has definitely expired and you are out of status. By submitting the restoration application you are attempting to restore your status. However you are officially in Canada without status at this time.

I have no idea if this will impact your application.
