I recently completed my one year experience in october, I obtained a letter with duties from my manager on October 1st and in the last week of october I quit that job, my letter is dated 1st october and I worked more than that, at this point my manager wont provide me a new letter . The HR department will provide only the basic reference letter which says that I worked there with all dates and numbers needed(no duties). Do you guys think I will be okay if I attach these 2 letters together?
Did you gain your 1 year of experience on October 1st? If yes then you shouldn't have any issues with your letter. Attaching another letter from HR saying your last day was end of October might be a risk. However, you can always send an explanation letter stating that you cannot get an updated employment reference letter from your company/ manager with job duties since they refused your request. Others may have some input as well.
Thanks for responding!
no I will be short of 2 weeks to complete 1 year , however I had another skilled job before that and even right now I am employed in a skilled job, which will total up to more than 1 year
CIC is really strict when calculating your work experience. Maybe you can get a letter from you current skilled job and apply under that NOC as well just to ensure you have the required amount of work experience. The way I see it...its better to have more work experience than having CIC say you were short 2 weeks due to the date on a employment reference letter.
