Hey

This is just their standard reply when ever Buffalo office transfers any file to a new office. My file got transferred to Seattle office on March 19, 2009 and still I am waiting for my medicals. This is their statndard wordings that "in order to expediate your application...". Your application will not take that long (i hope) becasue LA office is much better than Seattle...I think you are in LA or in the nearby area..thats why they transferred your file..nothing to worry about..its common...Although I don't know the criteria on how they transfer files to local visa offices..All the best for your application...

there seems to be something wrong with your date ? march 19m 2009? 2 years have passed and no medical yet?
how many more months or years do i have to wait for my application to be approved????? did i do it right ?

lester, congratulations! Your application is now truly "in process." This is good news. For most people, if there is no problem with the application or security check, you should get an initial assessment and erequest for medicals within a couple of months.... I too am a May 2010 applicant, and my file was just transferred also...

Congs jes_ON on your file transfer!!

My application has also been transferred to New York for the same reason. And the dates of my application seems very similar to those of yours. If you hear from them, please update your status. I will do the same. Wish you the best!

My file was transferred to LA in October 26, 2010, got the passport request December 16 and received our passports with visa on January 5, 2011.

So i think your wait won't be long now.

Best of luck! :)

hi rubyalabar,

that's great for you.. and congrats! but your case is quite different to us. you were under PNP application, and we are in CEC application. well, im hoping that there's no big time difference between the 2 applications from the date of file transfer. my file was transferred to NY visa office last april 5,2011. i'm really hoping to get a reply from NY visa office very soon.
