Expecting Kid || How to go for medical test?

Hi All,

Me and wife are on open work permit issued in April (medical done on 8 March). We are at Canada.
Now I am filling PR(with score of 457), I hope I will get ITA.
We are expecting kid in next year March and doctor will not allow us to have XRay.
Please suggest if
our application will be declined OR
put on hold (means we will not be out of queue and can submit documents post March) OR
there is another way to proceed in such cases (my wife has still valid visa so she can still stay in Canada(although dependent on me). Meanwhile only I can apply for PR and in future after kid, my wife apply for PR)

The short answer is that your application will be put on hold. It's mandatory that your wife complete the medical in order for the application to be processed. It doesn't matter if your wife is listed as accompanying or non-accompanying in the application, she must still complete the medical. To complete the medical, your wife must do an x-ray - this is mandatory and there is no way around it. When IRCC asks you to complete the medical, your wife should do the entire medical other than the x-ray and notify IRCC that she is pregnant and cannot complete the medical. Your application will then be put on hold since it cannot be processed without your wife's complete medicals. Once your wife gives birth and completes the medical, the processing of your application will resume.

Thanks for reply. So next year when my application proceed then will my score again be recalculated or its just I need to submit my documents and proceed with my application.

Also I have explored that medical done with in 1 year will be acceptable by CIC.

Does this seem valid as my wife medical had been done in March 2018 for work permit.
