I will be moving to Manitoba in a few months(hopefully ;D) and I wanted to know the process I need to follow to get my California Drivers license exchanged to a Manitoba License.

I am looking for an answer from someone who has had a similar experience, and can help me out.
I am mainly interested in knowing what documents I would need to get the process completed.
I went through the process in a different province (Ontario). But I think you can find the necessary info on the Manitoba website.

you can find what has to be on your drivers licence.

you can see what documents you need to bring. The list works like this:
You have to bring documents that tick off all the columns. And you need at least two documents that tick off the Manitoba column.
Example: A Passport isn't enough because it doesn't tick off the Manitoba column
Example: A Passport and your utility bill isn't enough because it ticks off the Manitoba column only once.
Example: A PR Card, a utility bill and a lease isn't enough because it doesn't tick off the signature column.
Example: A Passport, your utility bill and a lease is enough. It ticks off all the columns and the Manitoba column twice.
These lists are "fun" to read. I had to go through a similar one over here in Ontario.

You need
1. Original USA DL ( This will get void when your MB license is given ).
2. No claim experience certificate from DMV/Insurance companies to claim the discount.( Based on your clean driving record, your discount level will be assessed). MB has driver rating grid. This gives you discount in DL and Insurance fees based on your rating.
3. PR card or COPR letter
4.Passport
5. Local address proof( Bank letter)
You will be given temporary DL right away & CARD will come in the mail.
