Hi there

I know there has been to much back and forth In regard LMIA, I have been working in NOC B code 1215 for 1 year and now I am planning to open my profile in the express entry for Federal Skilled Worker so, Do I have to get LMIA in order to support my valid job offer ? Or is this position exempted of a LMIA as I am Colombian and Both countries have signed free - trade agreements ?

I really appreciate your help

What kind of work permit do you hold now?

Really ? Even with the experience and the trade agreement between both countries?

You have a permit based on your spouse's status. You would need a closed work permit from your employer issued under the trade agreement to qualify.

Yes. This is because you are currently on an open work permit with no employer named in the work permit.

To get the job offer points without an approved LMIA, you would need to switch to a closed work permit where the employer is named in your work permit.
