dear friends,
i'm currently living abroad. i received inheritance and gifts from my parents outside canada in the form of house and money. the question is is it recommended that i keep any evidence of these? for instance, does my mother need to write something and get it notified? i'm worried after a few years when i return back and bring these assets to canada, will i be asked to show that these are not from income and thus subject to tax?
