I am new here,
My in-laws have a green card. We booked a flight for them to visit us in canada. Upon arrival at the airport, they said that they need eTA in order to travel. We applied for my in laws eTA while they were at the airport. My mother in law got it approved right awat however my father in law got an email asking for additional docs. It's been a month and we havent heard back. Does anyone know how much longer it will take? Anybody has experience in the past? Should we be worried??

Unfortunately there is no set or average time as every application is different although some people have quoted 6-8 weeks sometimes . Did you even get an acknowledgement for the application. Although pretty inconvenient and depends on final destination in Canada there is always the land border.
