Hello,

I have a trip in April of 2021 to Canada (one week long), and as a citizen of one of the EU country I need the ETA. I have a pending case in the court (since 2017), what is connected with an accident and an insurance (that happened in 2012). I haven't plead guilty and still it might take a couple of years. I have no criminal record, I have never got any ticket. I have a higher education and well-paid job in financials. What should I do? Is there a chance to enter Canada?

I found only this information:

I assume you mean April 2022?

If you have pending criminal charges that haven't been resolved in court yet then this generally means you are inadmissible to Canada.

Is this a public or private court case?

The higher education and well paid job is irrelevant to the conversation.

Yes. April 2022. It hasn't been resolved in the court yet, and I doubt it will be then. It is a public court case. Weird, as it is still possible to go to the US by the ESTA.
