I just submitted my permanent residency application (CEC applicant). I got a new passport a month or so ago so that it wouldn’t expire during the application process. I just read that I should get a new ETA for my new passport. Am I going to be in trouble for not getting one as soon as I received my new passport? Or is ETA only important for when I’m actually travelling and I don’t need to renew it until I travel?
