Hi, I am from Pakistan and applied for ESL + PGD course in same college as PGD required overall band of 6.5 but I acheived overall 6.0 so instead waisting of time, I also applied for ESL to get conversant with their culture and learn english for future prospective. I am earning good in Pakistan and has oppurtunity to do well once complete this PGD course which is inline with my recently completed executive MBA studies. I also heared that visa officer wont issue visa on ESL grounds and may refuse the case because I am from Pakistan. Is it right? or advice please.

first of all, embassy requirement is 6.5...so try to take 6.5 before applying...Also try to get admission in some university as the visa ratio for college is very low..As you completed ur MBA so try to get admission in higher degree...they will refuse visa if u get admission in a degree which is lower than MBA

NO it is not as an embassy requirement to get 6.5. It totally depends on the college/Uni you are applying and even some provide offer letters without IELTS. For the rest you are right college has low visa ratio as compared to universities esp when you apply from Pakistan. BUt there are cases who got the visa of the education is relevant in which you are applying and if you can convince VO. Best of LUCK
