Hi all,
I submitted my express entry and was given an invitation to apply for PR. Going through the process now, I realised there was a typing error with my name in my details in the transmitted express entry. I have since corrected this in my PR application, but I am worried I may get rejected as the information between the two will be different.
Is there a way to change the error in my transmitted express entry profile?
Does it even matter if the express entry is different if I have fixed the error in my PR application?
or should I not even bother, decline the invite, and start the express entry process all over again?
Tried searching this forum, but couldn't find anything, so if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Luke,
Your EE profile is locked, so you can't change it. I don't think a typo is reason to decline your ITA. Fix it in your application and attach an LOE. Apologise for the error and point out that you have corrected it.
I would only decline an ITA if there was a material difference between your profile and your application, and a typo is certainly not one of them.
Cheers,
Dex

Of course you shouldn't decline your invitation. Fix your name in your PR application, and then in your LOE explain the mistake.
