I would like to come to India on e-visa. My question is that they will ask for a return ticket. What date should the return ticket be? Because I want to stay in India for 6 months. So, can I take the return ticket after 6 months date? If they don't allow for 6 months date, will there be any problem?

Shouldn't your return ticket be based on your actual travel dates?

Yes. It should be. I need to stay for 5- 6 months if i book return ticket after 6 months and at indian immigration if they say they will allow stay for 2-3 months?

No that's not how they behave. You are allowed 6 months stay.

OCI is to stay for long period in india. So i feel it wont add anything negative to OCI application.
