Entry to Canada through USA

Hi there
I am an international student here in Canada with valid study permit but expired temporary entry visa. My question is if I have US visitor visa can I come back to Canada from USA without needing temporary visa to Canada as I have valid study permit?

Yes, you shouldn't have any problem coming back from US as long as your study permit is valid and you have an expired student visa in your passport.

Yes, if you have States Visa , then you can enter from border in Canada without TRV. But definitely you need a valid Study permit.
And i hope you can get your TRV from border too [Not so sure].
If they ask you something. Just say I'm coming from India. And decided to have a trip to relax before resuming my studies.

Thank u so much aman. U r so encouraging and helpful. Yes so now I am gonna go to USA and then enter from border. I hope u still don't need a TRV if u went to India then USA and then canada. Yes I do have valid study permit.

Don't worry , Everything gonna be fine.
I entered from US to Canada after New year eve from Niagara falls Border and they just check my Study permit.

Sounds good. Did they ask for your passport too? And if they did, did u had temporary visa?

My study permit is attached to my passport.
Yes, i have valid TRV.
But they didn't check the page in which TRV is stamped.
