Entering in Canada without PR card

Sorry if it's already been asked. I have travelled to US via road while waiting for initial PR card. now, this is my 4th visit to US in last 3 months and it's hard fr me to drive 6 hours to nearest airport for every visit. Any one has some experience in coming from airport without PR card. I don't think I can get travel document in 3 days since visit is only fr 3 days..And, I have been waiting for 123 days now after my landing on 18 th July only thing they tell me is it's under review..

I am under my PGWP now. I came back from Europe with only a copy of the PGWP - I made it through. The officer said he could send me to immigration at the airport to verify mt status and it would take long.

PGWP is a work permit...when I was a student I enter from US only using that..may be I will give a try ..
