I listed one of the work experience 8 years ago and I do not keep any information on its pay stubs or W2 form.

My former employer seemed okay with signing the verification letter of my employment for me. Will W2 be necessary for this?

no i don't know where everyone's getting the pay stubs idea from. That's only if your employer doesn't want to give you a reference letter that covers all the info.
