Employment section for study permit extension - student or part time job ?

Hello,

How do you fill the employment section for a study permit extension when you are a student and working a few hours a week as teaching assistant ?
I found a university of Waterloo guide where they recommend to just put student in current occupation in the employment part and that there is no need to put the part time job but that seems odd to me. Is it possible to put student and then in the letter of explanation add that there is working as teaching assistant for few hours per week ? Or just put student as recommended by the guide ?

Yes you should but Teaching assistant or student assistant as your occupation and the hours that correspond with that

I have put Student in the first one from date : start till expected graduation date.
Then research assistant in the second one from date: start till end of offer.
That worked for me.
