Hi All,
I have a situation. I am applying CEC under NOC 'O' category. My employment letter does not mention anything about no. of working hours, it just says that I'm a full time employee. I can only see my working hours in my Pay stubs, they are 43.33/week. My salary is just on the borderline of minimum wage requirement.
My question is can I mention working hours = 37.5/week in the reference letter which will then make my salary when inside the minimum range?
As per the checklist, they do not require any pay stubs. Do they at any later stage can ask for pay stubs? Also, can they get any information about this from CRA?
Thanks,

Mention actual hours you work or if its not fixed every week then just mention approx. hours you work & Don't worry about minimum wage requirement; it is not one of the requirement in CEC. But No. of hours must be on reference letter. Just mentioning full-time employee wont be enough.

Yes. They can request it later if required. Regarding CRA thing, they don not share any information with anybody without your consent. So you dont have to worry about CRA sharing your personal information with CIC
Thanks,

If you have a chance to get the reference letter as per requirement I would suggest you get it and apply.
But some employers do not issue as per the request from CIC. In mycase I got a reference letter from the Indian Entity (of the same company) with out the no of hours & wage information. My employer said they will not issue any reference letter by quantifying something (something like hours and wages). So I do not have choice except to submit the reference letter as issued and all the paystubs (which contains wage and hours worked information). Luckily it worked in my case.
Thanks a lot.
If my job is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and in between I take a half a 30 minute lunch break, it should be legit to right 37.5 hrs/week of working time on reference letter? irrespective of my paystubs?
