Hi, I had a question about Employee Letter that's needed for submitting a Study Permit, does my employer need to give me a normal support letter of employment or the letter should be specific and indicate that they are allowing me to go abroad and do my studies? Because most employers don't allow their employees to go away for that long, and mine is one of them. I couldn't find any specific requirements on the IRCC website for this matter. I'm planning to resign when my studies started (if I got the study permit).
PS: I already have TRV but planning on getting a study permit for the May intake. Thanks!
If you are resigning and your employer isn't offering you employment then what is the purpose of the letter. A TRV makes no difference. What country are you applying from because processing can be many months?

A recent cyberattack has affected a small number of IRCC accounts accessed through GCKey. We locked these accounts to protect them from unauthorized access.

Obviously I will be resigning after getting the study permit as I stated in my comment! my employer surely gives me an employment letter for anyone/or any company/embassy, but will this letter be enough? or they should indicate the exact purpose of the letter that they will allow me to go to Canada and study!!

I know you will be resigning but a letter will only have purpose if they are offering you a job after you complete your studies. Are they? Not sure what the embassy can do.
