Hi,
So I worked for organization ABC from Oct 2012 to June 2015, first on a contract basis and then direct payroll. The role was the same.
Since this is a global corporation, they have a standard employment experience letter which reads as follows:
"To Whom It May Concern,
This is to confirm Mr.ASG was an employee of ABC Corporation since Nov 1, 2013. He was working as a Business Consultant.
He was previously working with HRXX assigned to ABC Corporation on contract in the same role and from Oct 2012 to Oct 2013"
This is all on official Company letterhead along with signature of HR Manager, duly dated and signed.
I wanted to ask:-
1. Would this letter suffice in terms of meeting the requirements for CIC employment reference?
2. Since I was working for the same company for the same role is this sufficient to cover my entire period from 2012 to 2015?
Thank you in advance for your help. I have already received my ITA and am currently living abroad so this is the only proof I have at the moment.
1 - Not sufficient, it is missing hours of work per week and duties and responsibilities.
2 - Yes, that's fine.

Thank you for that quick response. Much appreciated.
1. So since my company has a global policy, it provides this standard letter for everyone. I do have my Job description provided by the company. Can I attach that as proof?
2. I also get a system generated employment certificate stating I worked full-time for 40 hours a week. I can attach that, but the start date on it is Nov 1, 2013 as I was a contractual employee before that. Would you recommend doing that, or would that just cause confusion?
Also, once again, your help is much appreciated.
+1

Your work experience letter is missing some info. For this, along with this, you also will need a job description letter. If your employer provides this, then it's well enough. But, if he refuses to provide this, then you can get it signed from one of your colleagues/seniors.
for the Format for job description letter, please follow this link.

Thank you for your help. Due to strict restrictions, if I will not get that letter, I will attach my job description instead.
My original letter does say I was working full-time, but not specifically 40 hours. My concern was whether the HRXX part could be an issue since I was on contract, but if you believe that is not a cause of concern, I can breathe a sigh of relief.

If you were getting paid for your work, then IRCC doesn't have any problem with the nature of employment, whether contract or full-time.
But, make sure you submit BOTH the work experience & JD letter. Single letter alone will not suffice.

Thank you for clarifying. This has been great help to me! Much appreciated!
