employment and apprenticeship

My husband and I are filling out the forms and we're stuck on the questions about his employment. He's currently in school for 10 weeks for his trade apprenticeship. While in school, he's on EI and technically not employed, but once school's out he gets rehired by his company. So, how should we fill out the questions about his employment?

Be honest, he's a student. EI does not exclude you from sponsorship, only social assistance.
