My employer is not able to Provide me with the duties and responsibilities within employment reference, they can only provide me with job title, salary, and other information. What can I do and also I worked as an enquiry centre advisor but I did some administrative assistant duties as well as it is on NOC website, but the job title was different.
Thanks
I don’t know what to do in this instances
Hello Becky,
I was in a similar situation. I crafted a template containing the company logo, contact information, and filled it like this (considering
NOC code 6411 as a case and listing similar main duties):
I hereby certify that YOUR NAME has worked in the past at our firm. Position, duties, hours and dates are as following:
Sales representatives
March 2005 to May 2010
Duties: Promote sales to existing clients. Identify and solicit potential clients. Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates. Prepare or oversee preparation of sales or other contracts.
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Annual salary: 50,000 USD
HR NAME and signature
Human Resources Department
And was your visa approved
That template was given to me by an Indian who successfully landed in Canada. You can always attach pay stubs if you have them, just to make sure.
There is only so much information they can actually rely upon. Complete information about the company, who signed the reference letter, and other details should be enough. Giving less information to IRCC than what they require might get one's application canceled or rejected.
I used to work at a startup. HR had to define a list of duties for each position at the company. Each employee pitched in. It might sound weird, but she mapped that in order to make progression and career plans a thing. Anyway, my point is you could always come up with a list of your actual duties.
The company might appreciate your efforts, even if it's a company you do not work at anymore.
