Hi, I'm trying to apply for Ontario's Immigrant Nominee Program for Express Entry.
The application guide states that I'm required to provide letters of reference from my employer, with company letterhead and company seal.
Unfortunately, I seriously doubt that my company will be that accommodating. They don't like to assist their employees in resigning.
I could, however, get a personal letter of reference from my supervisor, explaining my job details. And I could attach her business card. Could anyone help to tell me whether this would be acceptable?
if you really can’t provide an official letter of reference then you can try supplementary documentation but this is never as good as an official letter of reference.
Keep in mind that the final decision regarding your employment documentation is always at the discretion of the visa officer.
Some examples of supplementary documentation:
Employment contracts
Promotion letters
Visa petition letters
Payslips
Sworn declarations from previous colleagues
