emirates ID for IELTS in UAE

Dear All,

I need suggestion on whether i can use my emirates ID for IELTS ?
as per my test center i can use it for examination but main concern is in my emirates id my father name attached to my name and in my passport it has only my name.
i want to make sure this will not create any issues later.
Hoping to hear from seniors who have gone through this process.

You can go ahead with your emirates id... I have appeared for ielts twice using my emirates id.

why don't you use your passport then just to avoid confusion. it shouldn't be a problem tbh but just to be on the safer side

Because my employer kept my passport and I used Emirates ID

well it shouldn't be a problem since your passport will have your father's name as well. so doesn't matter.

I took ielts exam on May 12th and i had used emirates id for registration. During the IELTS test i was asked to write my name in the answer sheet as in the emirates ID which contains my Fathers name along with my name. Now I am confused if my TRF would be accepted for express entry pool or whether there would be a problem with name.

No, it won't. Nationality doesn't matter for ielts, they need one of your photo id for verification purpose.

I had used my Emirates ID as registration for my IELTS. When creating an EE profile, should i add my emirates ID in the list along with travel documents? Is an IELTS test report with Emirates ID acceptable by IRCC?

Anyone can reply to me whether we use name according to emirates or passport and if in case we use according to passport do we need to take emirates id with ourselves ?

Best option is to use passport for IELTS
