So, I was thinking of informing CIC about my job status, Do u think this email works fine...I applied on 1st November 2012. But, should I mention that this job requires PR status

Dear VO,

My Application no. XXXXXXXX and UCI XXXXXXX, I want to inform that I got laid of in March from Company XXX. But, I already have offer from Company XXX to start from November. Attaching my offer letter.

Thanks

XXXXX

From the instruction guide:

Code:
Advise the visa office, of any change to your contact information. This includes:

mailing address
telephone number
facsimile number (fax)
e-mail address

There's no need to inform CIC about changes in your job. Even if you leave your job or whatever. CIC will make a decision
based on the information provided in your application, not on your present situation.

This is fine. As per the AOR: -

Please inform the visa office of any changes in your application (e.g. birth or adoption of a child, marriage or common-law relationship, new occupation or employer, change of address, change of e-mail address, change of immigration representative, etc). Please include a letter identifying what the changes are and any relevant supporting documents. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the originals.
