Email has two file numbers

I applied under CEC in May 2011. On Sept 9/11 recieved an email from CIC asking for RCMP finger prints. In subject line there were 2 file numbers one starting with"E" and other starting with "B". When I check my ECAS only file no. starting with "E" shows the status of an application nothing comes up when I type file no. starting with "B". But stickers I recieved with my application has file no. starting with "B" on them. Got medical request on Sept 22/11.
