I have an ELT (Enhanced Language Training) certificate from Peel Multicultural Council that states that I achieved CLB of 6 in listening, 6 in speaking, 7 in reading, 8 in writing and this is funded from Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

HOWEVER, I do not find ELT listed among certificates accepted by CIC for proof of languages. They list there CLB from ESL and LINC only. Despite that ELT is considered a higher level than ESL and LINC.

Can someone confirms that ELT is acceptable by CIC or no?

Can someone share CIC phone number so that I call them and confirm?.

Thanks so much,

I assure you it is not accepted. My friend took it only to discover it is not accepted and now he's enrolled in a government funded ESL program.
