Hi All,
Appln Submitted June 18, 2014, AOR Recd - Aug 5, 2014. Medicals not yet recd.
Spoke to CIC and they confirmed that on Feb 4th file is under review with VO for eligibility.
Most of the June applications have started receiving Medicals.
Can anyone advise how much time will determining Eligibility take place. How long should I wait to get medicals.

Depending on the stage your application is at right now, I would say couple of weeks to couple of months. No One has a precise timeline for you. Remember all applications are unique and they will have their own timeline.
BUT from what you wrote, I advise you to stay patient, you're almost there, give it couple of more weeks before you hit the panic button. Under review for eligibility would not take much time. Just stay calm and patient.
Thanks a lot for your positive response. I have applied under NOC 2171 and submitted Canadian Experience for 18 months. Let me wait for few more weeks.
Can you clarify whether determining eligibility means they are under review. I read from other posts stating that their application is under review etc. So trying to understand better.
Yeah sorry mate, I don't know what that means. But I'm pretty sure the eligibility part means they just have to look at your documents and your experience and determine that if you are eligible. It would just take them couple of minutes I guess. Then you are passed with no hesitation. Your MR and RPRF will follow soon.
Stay put mate, it's nothing to worry about too much.
Yes I have spouse and one child as dependents in my file. the delay seems to be due to employment letter does not have the golden words for roles and responsibility. This i came to know after geting my GCMS notes where its mentioned "eligibility : Review required by officer"

Yes my dear friend. Its only matters if the VO really reads my covering letter in which i have clearly explained to check the work permit petition letter where my roles and responsibility is mentioned. so if the Vo reads this and look into the petition letter then he might consider it otherwise if he goes blindly with the employment letter without looking into the covering letter and supporting document then he may send a QUERY.
