Hi,
I am a recent international graduate in Hospitality & Tourism program. I have applied for the Post grad work permit. I have gone through many post on this forum and those were quite informative. I have couple of doubts in my mind.
- Is a Room attendant or Food & Beverage server working for a hotel are eligible to apply under Canadian Experience Class?
- What is the process for the PNP for Ontario?

Q1: I agree with PMM. Room attendants and food beverage servers are under NOC level C which are considered unskilled and therefore not qualified to apply under CEC.
Q2: PNP in Ontario is your best option if you are already employed in one of the positions you mentioned above and wish to remain working with the same employer.. but if you are still unemployed and looking for a job, I suggest you find one under skill levels O, A, or B which will make you qualify for CEC after a year.
In my opinion, CEC is the simplest of all PR programs. You wouldn't even have to depend on your employer's support (except on obtaining a detailed employment reference letter) once you've decided to apply for one.
Thank you for your guidance it cleared my doubts. I still do have a question, right now I have a job offer as shift manager in subway restaurant will it work for CEC or PNP ontario?
- What are the rules for employer eligibility.

shift manager or more appropriately should I say a food service manager? then that's skill level A or if you meant shift supervisor in subway which is skill level B.. then yes, both positions will qualify but I would prefer shift supervisor when applying for CEC.. just for IELTS sake. it will require a lower language proficiency score/requirement.
PNP Ontario also accepts PR apps under skill level O, A and B but with more requirement than CEC. So why take that road?
i'd still go for CEC application.. like I said, it's a lot simpler.
