I just immigrated to Canada from Greece and just obtained my PR a few weeks ago. I have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, and had my own office in Greece working as an Engineer, but also as a Contractor and Construction supervisor for a large supermarket chain.
I feel a bit insecure about starting to search for a job as an Engineer because the electrical systems and codes in Greece are different than they are in Canada. I am interested in doing a short-term internship or entry level training position so I can learn about it in Canada before I start my job search. Are there any programs that can help me with this?

Have you tried to apply to any job yet? Have you read through some job postings to see what they require and compare it with what you have? Since you have some previous experience, I would assume there is a chance you know something they need, even if the systems are different between here and Greece. Also, the theoretical courses at the university should be the same.
Would assume getting licensed as a Canadian engineering will have a big impact on your job prospects. Engineering jobs are very competitive so make sure you aren't limiting yourself to a certain city or area. I would be willing to go where you are offered a job especially for your first job.
