HI everyone, I want to apply for FSW Visa in May 2013, My IELTS Score overall is 6.5.

Listening : 6.5
Writing: 6.5
Reading: 6
Speaking :6.5

How many points do I get for IELTS ability and can I apply for FSW if i get 67 points eventhough i don't score 7 in each band ?If i am not able to apply then, if i get overall band 7 although i don't get 7 in each band, will it work?
please advice me .
Thank you
Regards

The lower threshold level as on now is 6 in all components. So you are eligible to apply with this score if you achieve the pass mark 67

You mean to say if anyone gets a score below 6 in any component so he will not be eligible ?? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks

Absolutely.. As per information availble now the min IELTS score in each component is 6 for principal applicant. Thats = CLB 7

Gone through a few more threads and came to the conclusion that ....
IELTS minimum 6 in all areas and minimum CLB 7 .
So far!..this is as always subject to change.

listening - 4
writing - 5

Unless your application is already being processed, you will get no points because you will be ineligible.
A minimum IELTS score of 6 is required in each category under the new 2013 rules.

Hello. Yes I got a job as a software developer on Langley, just outside of Vancouver, just prior to moving over here, so I've been working there for just over 1 year now.

Hi. What do you mean by "white color job"?

My wife is working she is a scientist but found it tough to get a science position in Vancouver so she is working as a private tutor.

I'm not prepared to discuss my salary on a public forum, sorry. I got the job from a referral from a friend who also works at this company. Had 1 phone interview and then 1 face to face interview, and we offered the job shortly before moving to Canada in October 2011.

Best wishes,
Wayne.
