Eepress Entry CEC profile Question: How much money you can bring to Canada?

Hi everyone,

I am already living in Canada and am eligible in Express Entry pool under CEC (Canadian Experience Class).
I am wondering how I should answer the question: "How much money you can bring to Canada? ", when creating my profile.

Is there a minimum amount that I need to declare that I can bring? How much is it for a couple and a child?
My work contract is for a limited time and will end before I receive PR (am trying to change my job).

There is no funds requirement for CEC candidates. You can just put "0" in this field.

Thanks. Is this the case, even if I stop working let's say before or after receiving the invitation?

Hi! I am in the similar situation as samanta60 but instead I replied to that question by inputing the annual amount of what I earn on my full-time job, for example, $52500. And then I received ITA after, and did not have a chance to correct it. Is this considered a misrepresentation at this point, or I can after attach a LOE, saying why did I input the $52500 figure? Should I decline the profile then? I can't seem to find how to change it. It is all marked as 'transmitted' with red and locked.

I hope this reply did not find you too late... but if you have not submitted the permanent resident application as yet you can still make the change in $ even after you receive the ITA. Go to the actual permanent residency application and there should be an option under the FAMILY category to change the amount of money that you previously entered.

When I applied for express entry the amount I entered was $5000. After I received the ITA I changed the amount to $3000. and I still received the PPR.

If you are applying through the Canadian experience class then you can put $0 and an explanation letter stating that you are applying through Canadian experience class. You can also attach your bank statement and your job letter.

Also your parents don’t count. Only immediate family which constists of your spouse and children.
