Dear All,
If all goes well, I will be accompanied by my 4 year old daughter when moving to Canada. Can someone explain me the education system. will she have to to kindergarten or school already? What age does school start and is the education free in Toronto? i have heard it varies within Provinces
Which city are you landing?
I am landing in Toronto, Ontario where schooling is free and compulsory between 6 to 16 yrs of age.
I heard this year onward they are also introducing nursery for 4 yrs old in schools, it is also free.
best thing to do is upon renting out a house, find out a school nearby and take ur child there.
school will assess ur child and will suggest what to do.
dont forget ur child's immunization record, which u must bring with u from ur home country

Also planning to go to Toronto
At the moment i received an ITA and gathering needed docs.
Thats great if they are introducing a free education for 4 year olds.
Will have to research further into it.
Thanks a lot
