Im planning to move to Canada, hopefully haha but im curious about the details involved with education.
I went to school (primary and secondary) but I never finished for the GCSEs. So I have no proof of secondary education and for primary school education??
Basically do they need all proof of this?
Also... I received a caution this year for ABH Actual bodily harm. Nothing serious and it has gone no further than a fine.
Would this affect me from moving to Canada?
The lowest level of education you can get points for is secondary education (High School) so you may not get any points in this regard.
Even though you only received a fine, it depends on what the police certificate in your country says and how they regard the offence. If they regard it seriously it may count against you. This is just a guess.
Unless you can score high marks for language and work experience, you will hve a hard time getting enough points with minimal education.
You should take the self assessment to see if you can meet the minimum requirements to apply first, before you worry about what documentation you will need.
My police said I only received a caution. I did ask them whether or not it would affect me moving to usa or Canada and they said no. But im still abit worried.
I done that test and now just waiting for the result via email
Ok so I don't have any grades from secondary school but I have a NVQ level 2 in Cookery I done when I was young and Level 2 and 3 City and guilds Electrical installation
In the test you gave me in the link I put that down as 2 post secondary qualifications (one being more than 3 years)
hope that's right

unfortunately no. 2 post secondary (one being more than 3 years) refers to university degrees. As far as I remember, an NVQ MAY get you secondary school points while there are none for city and guilds.
ah right. I done a search and city and guilds comes up as Vocational education. Its all abit confusing haha anyway one more question... Whats it called if I want to take an exam to get the Canadian equivalent?
I remember seeing it but I cant quite remember. thanks
