My wife is a Canadian. We have been married more than 25 years and most of that time we have lived in Europe.
7 years ago my wife started working for a Canadian organization, pays Canadian taxes and has been considered a Canadian resident. Also 7 years ago we started to stay in Canada on average 4-5 months each year. We bought a house in Canada in 2017 and live here during our time in Canada. I am a US citizen; presently employed by a US organization while living in Europe (and Canada). I am applying for residency using family spouse sponsored outland.
We are presently in Canada now and are planning to be in Canada 5-6 months this time.
In the "relationship information and sponsorship evaluation" part A question 6 under "Residence in Canada," the question is "Do you live in Canada now?" I am not sure how my wife should answer. We had written "Yes" but then realized that the same question of residency for myself (the applicant) I wrote "no" (as technically I cannot "reside" in Canada and am only visiting). I have written an explanation of our situation and intention but don't want to confuse the situation with a wrong answer here.
Explanation letter should be fine. I don't see an issue with you putting different places of residence on the forms with the explanation. That's not a legal opinion though.
I am also having the same question on how to answer the question "Do you live in Canada Now?"
My Case: I arrived in India in April 2022 for my wedding ceremony and intend to be here for another month until July 2022. My current job is in Canada and I am on vacation in India. Would I be able to answer the question as "YES, I live in Canada"?
I am filing my wife's spousal sponsorship application and I would like to understand the consequence if I fill "No" to this question.

As responded to your other user ID, you cannot submit the application until you are back in Canada. PRs cannot submit sponsorship applications from outside of Canada. So you will answer "yes" and submit the application once you are physically back in Canada.
