ECAS shows "Application Withdrawn" and one next to it saying 'In process"

Has anyone ever seen this before?

I noticed the second "Application received" last month, but didn't think much of it.
However, this morning, one of the applications says:

Withdrawn

We received your application for permanent residence on June 13, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 3, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

We withdrew your application on January 3, 2013 and your file has been closed.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Then the one next to it says:

IN PROCESS

We received your application for permanent residence on June 13, 2012.

We started processing your application on January 3, 2013.


Could this be because my marital status has changed during the application process?
Also, my medical would have expired by now, should i go for a new one or wait until they ask for it?

Never heard or saw that. If you didn't withdraw your application, then you should call the call center and make them aware of the situation.

I'm not TOO concerned since there is another one saying In Process, but i'll probably have to suffer calling the CIC call center

Glitch maybe? But you should contact the VO via case specific enquiry.

I wpuld call CIc, and email Vienna probably is the glitch on the system

There was a case mentioned in the "parents sponsorship" forum where an OP faced a similar situation. It seems that CIC had incorrectly assigned a client id to the applicant and to rectify that, they had to revoke that application and create a fresh one. So in the system it said "Withdrawn", but another application was added by CIC. Nevertheless, you should call CIC to confirm why the status says Withdrawn.

It might be linked to the fact that they are now processing your file as married and not common-law indeed, but it's worth checking with CIC. Probably the best is to send a Case-specific enquiry to Vienna as they would have more information.

For the medicals - don't do anything until they tell you to. If it's the only thing preventing them from issuing the visa, they might have already requested an extension, and so you won't have to re-do the medicals. But you won't find out about the medicals extension until you get your visa! you can try asking the question in the CSE you send to Vienna about the double status...

I send an e-mail to Vienna because CIC Helpcentre can't/won't answer questions about outland applications.
