In my case it took 2.5 months to update status. I was worried too then I ordered for Caips Notes www.caipsnotes.com. It gives you the details about your case status.

- For my case, ecas showed medical received after 5 months of my medical. I did my medical in July 2008 and it showed in December 2008.
could you plz tell me if it is secure to order caipsnotes from a website? (which one is reliable?)

- Where are you residing in now? In Canada it is free to order CAIPS note.
-If you are outside of Canada and you have relatives in Canada, they can apply on behalf of you. And you have to pay $5.
- Some websites also offer the service but it is constly like $40-$50. Just check their authenticity before you apply through websites.
i applied through www.caipsnotes.com they charge mein $34 and took around 1.5 months to get my capis notes. But i would say one must get caips notes it tells you about every single date and document received by Canadian visa office.
Good luck.
thx all for the replies.
hope good luck for everybody
