Guy need your help. I am applying as primary applicant and my wife as a secondary applicant in EE. I want to claim points for her medical degree only in my EE application. I know you have to go thru MCC but my agent is saying if u are only claiming points for degree as a secondary applicant you can also go thru WES and they will be considered by Canada but i have not seen this written anywhere on the website. Can anyone pls confirm this or had gone thru similar case.
Is your wife aware that her chances of practicing medicine in Canada is extremely low. A very small fraction are able to retrain as a GP. Most never get the opportunity even if they pass their Canadian exams.

Your agent is right. You can do ECA for medical degree through WES which will be evaluated as professional degree and you can claim crs points for masters. I have done it so I know for a fact.

There are tons of IMGs who apply on this forum who have done very little research on the ability to practice in Canada and assume it will be a smooth transition. Feel the need to warn people so they can make an informed decision.

The teaching field is another profession where the transition is quite tough. The large majority of medical school professors are licensed and usually are also practicing. To teach in a public school (elementary or secondary) you usually need to graduate from a Canadian teachers college although there is a 1 year transition program for previous teachers in BC. Getting a job at a college is difficult and usually requires a few jobs to make enough income. Not trying to be negative but many immigrants want to teach but Canada doesn't have a ton of post-secondary institutions and have strict requirements (and often a surplus) or primary and secondary teachers. In Ontario they recent reduced the enrolment in the various teachers colleges (2 years masters courses).
Sorry I've deleted my post because I misunderstood your question. If she wants to apply as a primary applicant and use medical doctor noc then she must get eca from MCA. For secondary applicant WES eca will be enough.

If your master’s degree was obtained from an Indian institution, and does not fall into the categories listed above, you MUST also submit your bachelor’s degree documents. WES cannot evaluate the master’s degree without the bachelor’s degree.
2 Question-
1. I only need the masters evaluated from WES. For this, what do i need to send for the bachelors:
(a) Only the Bachelor's degree (which I send myself) Or,
(b) Bachelor's Transcripts (directly sent from the university) also
2. If I have to get my Bachelors evaluated as well (with no intention to practice medicine), as a primary applicant - would WES evaluate it?
