Dear All,
I am a lawyer from Sri Lanka having obtained LL.B from the university of Colombo and Attorney at Law qualification, which is the license to practice as a lawyer in Sri Lanka.
Where should I go to get ECA for my two qualifications

Hi there, for the purpose of Express Entry, you should do your ECA at any of the listed organization such as WES.
Take note however, if you plan to practice as a lawyer in Canada, you will be subject to qualification requirements under the Federation of Law Societies of Canada (FLSC). . Please look at
https://flsc.ca/ and find out more about how to qualify as an "Internationally Trained Lawyer".
Thanks

BTW my wife has the attorney at law qualification from Sri Lanka Law College. Her course period is 3 years. Do WES evaluates those certificates ?
Hello,
please refer to the WES website to understand more about the ECA process (for the purpose of Express Entry).
Bear in mind that a separate evaluation will need to be done by FLSC (for purpose of assessment of qualification for the legal profession). Information about this can be found at the FLSC website.
https://flsc.ca/
You can also reach out to Global Lawyers of Canada:
https://glcanada.org/ to find out more information about the qualification process.
Global Lawyers of Canada (“GLC”) is a national professional association that promotes a diverse and competitive legal market in Canada by representing and supporting internationally-trained and globally-minded lawyers through advocacy, community engagement and professional development.

Hi, I have the following educational credentials:
B.Com (3 Yrs) from Mumbai University
L.L.B (3 Yrs) from Mumbai University
Which ECA should I apply for to get a Master's Equivalency/ Professional Degree Equivalency? WES or IQAS? Please suggest in case of any other ECA website.
Note: In Covid 19 scenario, which would be a faster ECA?
Hoping for responses and your help.
Thanks

Dear Priyankara, can you please advise if your wife’s credential got as recognised from WES ? Because my husband also only have attorney from law college like your wife , and Wes says it is not equivalent to completed Canadian education

We did not send the documents to WES since they do not recognize professional qualifications. What happened to your case??
If you plan to receive an ECA in Canada, you can just Google and find all the contacts you need and call there and ask similar questions. I have always solved all issues with documentation with my lawyers
https://ucmjdefense.com/navy-military-defense-lawyers-court-martial-attorneys.html. Even when I was making out something or getting divorced, I constantly asked such questions only to competent lawyers whom I trusted. Yes, they have to pay, but I understand that I get the right advice that will probably save me in this or that situation, and I will get away with it. I hope my post will help you. Good luck.
