Hi,
My wife is on process now, and her visa office is Detroit (now it changes to NY or LA)
My sponsorhip was proved on Nov 26, 2012.
Her E-CAS was changed today as well as mine.
We received your application for permanent residence on October 15, 2012.
We started processing your application on March 15, 2013.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
This is the first time status is changed since I got the letter of sponsorship provement on Nov.
Does anybody have similar experience?
I am not sure it is good news or bad news.
Are you sure?
Because I googled it for several hours, some people posted it is probably bad news cause the status is changed before I send the passport.
Hopefully you are right and they are wrong.
Thanks for your reply!!!
No one will know for sure until you get some communication from them, but from what I've heard they usually always ask for more information, interview you, or at least give you a chance to clarify before making a negative decision. I'm betting it's good news!
Gregoryp, it's good news. They are now asking for the passport so they can stamp the visa in it. If you got Decision Made before they asked for medical results, that would usually (but not always) be bad news.
Also, did you check eCAS for a change in mailing address? When my wife got Decision Made 2 weeks ago, they updated her Philippines mailing address to my address in Vancouver.
Congrats! Now you are in the same boat as me - waiting for the passport and visa to arrive. It's been 2 weeks already for my wife, and the wait is killing us. Usually it doesn't take that long.
Thanks for all of you who replied.
I am going to be a little more optimistic from now.
Hopefully, everything goes well so my wife can be with me sooner.
The same thing happend to me. My status changed for the first time in 15 months to decision made. It's been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything yet. Meds received for the second time..application in process since April 2011. I sent an email to the visa office..no reply either. Let's see what happens.
