Duration of PGWP for program in may intake

Hello people,

I wanted to know, what would be the duration of the PGWP offered if I join a 2 year (4 semester) program in may, since I have to take a break in winter and so I'll complete my program by summer. This completes my 2 yr program but I have lived in Canada only for 20 months as per calendar year. I'm confused and I'd appreciate any help.

If your program’s official description says it is a 2 year program then you qualify for 3 yrs PGWP.

One regular academic year is usually two semesters long, which is about 4 months each sem. So a 2yr (4 sem) program would only be 16 months long.
