Hello, I am thinking on studying a Master in Forestry at the University of British Columbia for 2 years. This is an international program leading to two degrees as the first year is spent studying at an institution in Europe where a Master degree is received and then the second year is spent at UBC in Vancouver completing the program and a Master in Forestry degree is received. I would be enrolled at UBC the two years and wouldn't pay any tuition fees at the European institution. This is the link of the program: https://forestry.ubc.ca/students/graduate/programs/master-of-forestry/
The question is, will this program be eligible for the Post-Graduate Work Permit, and if so, how long would it be?
The second question is if the degree would count into the express system point grid when applying for a PR under a Provincial Nominee Program or Skilled Worker program?
Canadian study programs with an overseas component
If your study program has an overseas component, you may be eligible for a PGWP as long as you earn a credit from a Canadian school for it. The PGWP will only be valid for the length of the time you studied in Canada.
The second question is if the degree would count into the express system point grid when applying for a PR under a Provincial Nominee Program or Skilled Worker program?
