I have four doubts with respect to the canadian study permit from india :-
1) If the full proof of finance for tuition and living expenses for my one year program is being shown by my mother through her bank statements, do i still need to get a letter signed by her mentioning that she is willing to sponsor me?
2) The main application form (IMM1294) clearly mentions that it need not be signed if being submitted online. However the Family information form (IMM5645) has no such instructionbut it still has a signature and date to be put in the form. How is that supposed to be done?
3) The digital photo that is asked for. Is the usual passport sized photo in india acceptable ?
4) If the family name section is blank in my passport and i only have the given name, how do i fill the visa application form (IMM1294) which puts Family name as a mandatory field and given name as non-mandatory field.
1. YES, your mother can sponsor you. Just mention it in SOP that she is having abc amount of money and she will sponsor me, nothing needed to be signed by her.
4. The same is with me, so in the family name you have to add your first name again. For ex: if your name is Sahil then again in family name you have to add Sahil i.e. Sahil Sahil.

Suppose the name is John Doe Lucas. And it is in given name section in passport? Then what should I put in family name of visa form as a mandatory field
